Guacamole Salsa Recipes
 
Ingredients
  • avocados

  • 3 fresh Jalapeños or Serrano chilies, stems and seeds removed and finely chopped
  • 2 large ripe avocados, pitted, peeled and mashed
  • ½ finely chopped onion
  • 1 small red ripe tomato, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed or finely chopped
  • - juice of 1 lime
  • salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Place the smallest ingredients in the molcajete first. Pound and grind the garlic and chilies to your desired texture.
  2. Add the chopped onion, tomato and avocado. Pound and grind a little more to your desired texture.
  3. Season to taste with the lime juice and salt.
  4. Place the Avocado pit back into the salsa, cover the surface with a plastic wrap and let the guacamole season for about 30 minutes, this allows the flavors to blend.
  5. Serve straight from the molcajete by removing the plastic wrap and the avocado pit.
  6. Serve with chips and raw vegetable for dipping or use as a garnish or topping for tacos and enchiladas.
  7. Don´t have a molcajete?
  8. Don't worry you can make this wonderful dip in a food processor.
  9. Place the Chilies, garlic and onion and chop finely using a few pulses. Add the tomato and avocado then process using short pulses to desire texture. Remove to serving dish and season with the lime juice and salt to taste.
  10. Allow to rest for 30 minutes by placing the avocado pit in the guacamole and cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface.
  11. Remove the plastic and the avocado pit and Enjoy!
